Please browse our FAQs below, or contact us if you have any other queries - we're always happy to help.
We are now taking bookings from 14th July 2020. We will be complying with any government regulations in regard to covid-19. The cabin is cleaned thoroughly - please read past reviews with regular mentions of our high standards of cleaning. We will obviously be paying extra special care when cleaning. We also air the cabin in between guests by opening the double doors and windows. The hot tub is chemically treated and regular hygiene tests are carried out, including in between guests. It is available for use at your own risk. We are in an isolated, rural location so there's no worry about having other people to socially distance from! If you have any particular queries, please contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Everything is included in the price, except for pets (£10/stay) and use of the barbecue (£5/use). Bedding, electricity, use of the private hot tub, etc is all included.
The cabin is available from 3pm on arrival day to 10am on departure day, unless a late checkout has been arranged. Please speak to us if you want it outside of these hours and we'll do our best to help if we haven't got other guests.
No, unfortunately we are not geared up for children. We have open ponds and heights which could raise health and safety issues.
We are happy to accommodate infants (under 12 months, not yet walking)
There are no steps or stairs to get to the entrance or to enter the property. Both the gate and the cabin entrance is at least 32 inches (81cm) wide. There are no steps or stairs within the cabin. The bathroom has a handheld shower head. There are no specific aids for people with mobility issues, but the property is flat with hard flooring. Please note that other than the cabin's private, decked area, much of the land is sloped fields so not suitable for many people with mobility issues.
Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome at an additional cost of £10/stay. This is to cover extra cleaning at end of stay. We have two dogs of our own and free range chickens, so dogs must be kept under control when outside of the private, fenced in outdoor area. Please respect our cabin and furniture and clean up after your dogs. For other pets, please contact us.
Our cabin has solar panels & spring-fed (filtered) water.
Yes - it's very warm & cozy. There's a beautiful cast iron gas fire if you need it and an electric heater. There's also a heated towel rail in the bathroom. It's well insulated anyway so stays warm.
There's 4 acres for you to enjoy with a stream boundary & a pond.
A lot! We're in a very rural location, so we get a wealth of different birds, including red kites, buzzards, sparrowhawks, herons, snipe & owls. A goshawk has been sighted nearby on numerous occasions, and the occasional peregrine. There are a lot of smaller birds, including greater spotted woodpeckers, nuthatches, goldfinch and long-tailed tits. Whilst harder to see, we have kingfishers and otters on the river. I'm sure we've missed a lot out there, but it gives you an idea!
Only if you want to! Our dogs and chickens are very friendly, but you have a private, fenced off outdoor area, so you can keep them out if you don't want them around. They'd love to meet you & play with you though if you're willing.
No - we chose to only have the one cabin so that you really feel like it's your retreat.

If you can tear yourself out of the hot tub & away from the peaceful views, we're ideally situated in South West Wales to explore Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion. It's just over 30 mins to the coast at Llansteffan where you can take a ferry trip over the River Towy & beyond. It's not far to Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas penned some of his most famous work. The well-known, picturesque coastal towns of Cardigan & Tenby are worth a visit and maybe take a boat trip from New Quay to go & spot the dolphins. The Pembrokeshire coast path is stunning for walkers or to just admire the views (maybe over lunch at a pub). See more on our Local Attractions page.
No - the cabin is strictly no smoking.
